What is a good golf ball for a reasonable price?
I play for my school’s golf team and we usually get sleeves of Titleist Pro V1′s or Pro V1x’s and I also work at a course where about 85% of the players play this ball because they have a lot of money. I often find them around the course and I pick them up but I can’t depend solely on that because eventually I will have nothing left in my bag. I am just wondering if anyone knows a ball that is a high performance ball that won’t break the bank. If I buy 3 dozen Pro V1′s it costs me a whole weeks salary and I don’t want to do that so is there a ball that will give me a soft feel around the greens and accuracy? I don’t need a solid rock golf ball that will add 15 yards to all my clubs because I am already above average yardage wise I just need more feel around the greens. Is there anything less than about $25-$30 a dozen? And please no stupid answers. What do you all play and how do you like it?
I had that same problem!! I also found ALOT of the NXT Tours.. I had them in my practice bag when I took them out and thought: “Well I have so many of these balls, might as well give them a try” I have a swing speed of 108-112 and have tried I would say evey ball out their, nothing feels (driver, irons or putter) closer to the PRO V1′s or PRO V1x’s better then the NXT TOUR. Its a great ball and you cant argue the price at $25-$30 a box for the performance that your getting. Give em a try. I bet you will like em. Let me know how it goes!
